The Long Island Philharmonic's Arts-In-Education program, MusicLIvz, matters more now than ever and continues to make a lasting impact on the school children of Long Island.

Close to 30,000 students throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties enjoyed a variety of music appreciation and education activities offered by MusicLIvz.

Upcoming highlights from the 2011-12 MusicLIvz season include:

2012 Performance Partners

The Long Island Philharmonic will perform side-by-side concerts with five Nassau County school districts: East Williston, Hempstead, Jericho, Westbury, and Uniondale.

25th Young Artist Competition - Piano

Congratulations to Marc Fishman, our 2012 First Prize Winner!

The Long Island Philharmonic’s Young Artist Competition, an integral part of the Orchestra’s commitment to Arts-In-Education, alternately focuses on instruments in one of three disciplines: Piano, Strings, or Woodwinds & Brass. The competition offers aspiring young Long Island musicians an opportunity to achieve the recognition of their peers, the public, and the distinguished panel of judges.
