The 24th annual Long Island Philharmonic Young Artist Competition was held on Monday, March 8 2010 at Hillwood Recital Hall, Tilles Center. Nicole Marie Caligiuri, oboe who is an 11th grader at Shoreham-Wading River High School, Shoreham-Wading River won the First Prize. The Second Prize went to Jacquelyn Patricia Nakamura, flute who is an 11th grader at Friends Academy. Melissa Anne Cheng, flute who is a home schooled 9th grader won the Third Prize.
