Trumpet Master Class

MusicLIvz, the Long Island Philharmonic’s Arts-in-Education and Community Engagement Program, hosted a trumpet master class with Long Island Philharmonic principal trumpeter, Alex Holton.  Three students from Nassau and Suffolk counties were selected to perform and receive comments from Mr. Holton. Close to 175 students attended from Bayshore, Brentwood, Commack, Connetquot, East Islip and Westbury school districts.  The master class took place on Thursday, January 14th at Brentwood High School.  The three students were 13 year old Paul Elizalde, a seventh grader at All-Saints Regional Catholic School (Glen Cove); 14 year old Timothy Fogarty, a ninth grader at Paul J. Gelinas Junior High School (Three Village); and Michael Rodriguez, an eleventh grader at Brentwood High School
